The floor heating systems are switched to the extremes when the UK techno label looks back to a quarter century with twenty-five tracks from its catalogue. Of course, James Ruskin, the label’s co-founder with †Richard Polson, plays the main role with solo works or collabs. Either with Mark Broom or as part of the early group Outline, here being present with remastered dash “Encounter”.
Joining the party are Surgeon, Samuel Kerridge, Makaton, Lakker and many luminaries of UK techno who have found a spot on Blueprint over the years. While featuring so many techno’s big names, “Blueprint25” is also a reminder how good remixes of O/V/R “Post-Traumatic Son” are. Another highlight was my first-time listen of Sigha’s “I Am Apathy, I Am Submission”, a DBX leaning sturdy stomper.
