MasCon – Tongemisch (Snork Enterprises Snork109)
Distorted “Passion Master” is a tool of choice for rush-hour DJ sets, reminding of robust UK sound on 1990’s Tresor. Hints to the M-Plant in “Extrakt” – all in all good functional techno by the German label.

Patrick Siech – Tales from the Crypt (Parabel PRBL015D)
Drumcode artist returns to Parabel with two techno crushers (“Haste”, “Operation Morgenluft”) and the rest belongs to the guild of yellow smileys, “Acid Monday” being my favorite.

Nite Fleit / False Persona – Acid Avengers 018 (Acid Avengers AAR018)
A new round of avengers, this time with two UK artists. While Nite Fleit is hanging out with broken beats, False Persona prefers acid techno, the two being united in the monster track “Parallax”.

Leonid – Namurian Phase EP (Lunar Disko Records LDR_25)
A new astronaut, previously seen on Sistrum and Dolly, has joined the mission of the Irish label. First restrained bass excursions, followed by acid wash (my favorite “Thermodynamic”) on the flip, along with the ambient ending.

Perc – Greed Dance (Perc Trax TPT091)
Overlord of noisy bangers is back on his label with a three-tracker where the standout cut is “240 Volts”, reminding of Heiko Laux’ propulsive synth lines. Crazy sleeve designs on Perc Trax lately.

Various – Consortium Vol. 3 (Motech Records MT149)
A Detroit label set up almost 20 years ago by DJ 3000 features in a new digital compilation the man himself and 14 consorts. Simple club fare, check Najel Monteiro, Veronique Page, Elyas.

Syberian98 – Speed-Up Traxx (Syberian SYBXX-02)
Tongue in cheek bangers from Russia: “Don’t Smoke” is so silly and makes fun out of Josh Wink’s classic, but has a catchy effect. In “Lode Runner3” we hear a PCP bass drum driven BPM-carnage.
